Michael Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame last week [note: late September '09], in the least surprising development in the history of athletics. I heard a story about him last week on the radio. Supposedly when he was still a young player, his coach, Doug Collins, was trying to convince Jordan that he had to get his teammates more involved in the game.

Collins pulled out the tried and true cliché: “You know Michael, there is no ‘I’ in team.” To which Jordan brashly pointed out, “No, coach, but there is an ‘I’ in “win.”
